L3Pilot second showcase successfully performed in conjunction with the 2019 Annual EUCAR Reception & Conference in Brussels, Belgium

Following the project’s claim “Piloting Automated Driving”, L3Pilot partners held the second L3Pilot Showcase in conjunction with the 2019 Annual EUCAR Reception & Conference in Brussels, Belgium on 6-7 November 2019.

L3Pilot partners presented the project as main exhibitor to the high-level audience from politics and industry.

Celebrating 25 years of EUCAR collaboration, the Autoworld Museum changed into a place of future mobility visions. L3Pilot partners displayed 11 vehicles with automated driving (AD) functions. The exhibition was completed by a cybersecurity demo.

Taking different levels of technological readiness and societal acceptance of AD into account, L3Pilot partners developed four automated driving scenarios for the future. A dedicated video was developed by L3Pilot partners and shown during the second L3Pilot Showcase. In a discussion round, led by Anja Beuster, EICT, the audience had the opportunity to discuss on the elaborated future mobility scenarios.

Coordinator Aria Etemad, Volkswagen, presented the L3Pilot intermediate achievements in his presentation ´Towards an integrated approach to testing automated driving on public roads´. He gave a first glimpse on the initial results of the user study conducted by the project. The presentation is available here.
